3rd Annual iCAN TRI Youth Triathlon July 20th

The 3rd annual "iCAN TRI Youth triathlon" scheduled for Sunday, July 20th, 2014 will return to the Clovis North Educational Center.  The youth triathlon division will be open to youth ages 6-19.  This race is part of USAT Southwest Region Talent ID Series, a non-drafting race for youth ages 13-19 and the F1 Elite Race Series, a draft legal race for youth ages 12-15 and 16-18.  We are proud to host the USAT Southwest Region Youth Championship again. This is an outstanding venue with challenging courses for each age division. The swim complex has (2) 50 meter pools for short and long course swimming. The bike and run courses of varying distances will challenge each athlete of the (4) Youth Divisions and Elite Division. Finisher metals will be given to each participant crossing the finish line.

Fundamental event that teaches beginners the basics of football at the same time refreshing veteran player's for the upcoming season. Participant's also learn the importance of school, staying healthy, and being a role model off the field. The kid's get a chance to interact with past and current College and NFL athlete's and a chance to win prizes and trophies.

Coach Tim Simons Back at Clovis North

Clovis North Educational Center and Clovis Unified are proud to announce Coach Tim Simons as the new Director of Football. Coach Simons will be taking over the football program effectively immediately. The founding father of the Bronco football program, Coach Simons returns after 2 years of coaching quarterbacks at Fresno City College.  Coach Simons brings an incredible resume to this position which includes 11 league championships and 5 valley championships.  As well as being named the California Coach of the year for football, Coach Simons was a member of Coach Pat Hill’s staff at Fresno State for 7 years.  We look forward to watching Coach Simons and his staff lead the Broncos into the 2014 season.

A great event is happening at Clovis North Saturday, February 1st.  It is the 45th annual Clovis- Fresno Y's Men's Elementary School Wrestling Tournament.  

This  is the finals of the Tournament.  The athletes of 32 Clovis Elementary schools participate in this Greco-Roman wrestling event. 

It is exciting to see these young athletes compete with their all - out effort and athleticism!

FRESNO, Calif. — The Fresno Grizzlies, in conjunction with Ovations Food Services, will hold their annual job fair for open game-day staff positions on Saturday, February 1st from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Chukchansi Park. Together, the two organizations combine to field a staff of 500 that include: ticket takers, ushers, security, box office, team store, video crew, promotional team, housekeeping, lifeguards, bat boys, grounds crew, concessions, kitchen and catering.

Clovis North head football coach Cory Hall plans to relocate his family to Southern California to pursue a job coaching at the collegiate level.  Coach Hall joined Coach Tim Simon’s Bronco staff as the Head Junior Varsity Coach in the spring of 2009, and took over as Director of Football/Head Varsity Coach in the spring of 2011.  Coach Simons said this of Hall’s announcement, “Cory Hall came to us in 2009 via the NFL.  In a short time he vaulted a young Clovis North Football program to a feared position in the Central Section and to a highly respected status in the State of California.”

Clovis West administration today announced that Head Football Coach Mike Parsons has stepped down from his position as Director of CW football at the end of the 2013 season.  Parsons will remain at the school in his full-time teaching position.
