Clovis Man Beats Drugs And Prison. Inspires Kids

Clovis Man Beats Drugs And Prison. Inspires Kids

A Clovis man is getting recognition for his incredible story.

"Focus Forward" the non-profit organization that works with troubled Fresno County youth, held it's celebrity launch party Thursday night for it's new magazine, "U-Turns Allowed."

Dozens of guests showed up and found out Clovis BMX motorcycle racer Tony Hoffman's story would be featured in the premier edition.

Hoffman overcame drug addiction and a prison sentence to rise to the top in the world of BMX racing.

"I had to re-examine my life and I created a relationship with God and just felt a strong calling to get involved in something I was already good at and that was BMX," said Hoffman. But that's not all. "Not just get back into BMX, but get back into BMX for kids and changing lives too to help kids."

Pet Pictures With Santa

Pet Pictures With Santa

People asked and Santa listened! He’s carved out time in his schedule for one more day of pet photos.

Tonight from 6-8pm pet family members are welcome to visit Santa at Sierra Vista Mall and take a photo. Please make sure your pet is on a leash or in a carrier.

Partial proceeds benefit the non profit Friends of the Clovis Pet Adoption Center to help homeless cats and dogs find homes. The money will also go toward the new Miss Winkles Pet Adoption Center Clovis facility.

The Clovis Pet Adoption Center will be there to help you sign up to volunteer, donate or adopt a pet.

Kelly’s Pets will also be there. It’s a new locally owned business in Clovis that can guide pet owners on what’s best to feed your four legged family member and they’ll offer a treat for each pet after their photo with Santa.
