Clovis Police: Man Dies After Being Hit By Pickup
A man is dead after being hit by a pickup truck while he was walking his dog in Clovis, police said.
It happened at around 7:30 p.m. Monday near Fowler and Shepherd.
Investigators say 63-year-old Dennis Costella was walking his dog in a trail crosswalk when he was hit. Costella died at the scene.
The driver stopped after the crash and is cooperating with the investigation, officers said.
The dog was taken to a veterinary hospital to be treated for some injuries.
