Help A Family Honor Their Daughter's Wishes

Help A Family Honor Their Daughter's Wishes

Brittany Wilkinson's wish was to help people understand Mitochondrial Disease, and show compassion to people of all abilities. Now, her family and legion of friends carry on that wish. She brought awareness all the way to Washington DC, became the Youth Ambassador for The United Mitochondria Disease Foundation, helped bring awareness to our Central Valley communities with Mito Week every September, and touched the lives with her Grace, Hope and unwaivering Faith.

You are invited to help continue that wish. KMPH FOX 26's Kim Stephens MC's this event every year. There is a delicious dinner with compelling and interresting speakers, along with a generous raffle and many alluring silent auction items.

Big Honor For Clovis Fire Department

The City of Clovis Fire Department is now re-accredited through the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI).  The standards for accreditation are comprehensive and ensure accredited departments are truly delivering the best possible services to their community.  The accreditation process also assures the taxpayer that their fire department is providing services in a cost efficient manner.  The Clovis Fire Department is one of thirteen accredited agencies in California and one of approximately 150 fire agencies internationally to achieve this status.  There are approximately 30,000 fire agencies in the Nation.

Emotional Lesson About The Dangers of High Schoolers Drinking

The Scenario on February 26, 2014: Three Clovis East High School teenage boys just finished a big morning test and decided to “relax” with alcohol at their friend Damon’s house during lunch. Alexus, Dylan and Zo realized they had to get back to class to avoid getting “tardies,” and two of them had to take another test. Dylan got behind the wheel. Meanwhile, teacher Stephanie Champion took her daily run at lunch due to a conflict in the evening. Coming back from lunch off-campus were Summer, Sofia and Nate. They watched in horror when Dylan hit Ms. Champion. Dylan didn’t stop. He plowed into the driver’s side of the car sending Summer to the hospital. Zo died at the scene. SkyLife crews are airlifting Champion to emergency. Zo’s actions proved to be fatal and life-shattering.
