Is The H1N1 Flu Virus A 'Super Bug'?

We are not out of the woods yet!

That is the word from Fresno County Public Health officials about the 'flu' virus.

As of Tuesday afternoon, in Fresno County alone, fourteen people have died from the bug.

Another thirty-one people were admitted to intensive care units, and eight remain hospitalized.

In the state of California, at least 147 people have died from the virus.

The virus, which typically strikes seniors and young children, is now attacking and even killing young adults.

14th Annual Matt Mueller Blood Drive January 23rd

Reminder: Buchanan High School's Leadership program is hosting the 14th annual Matt Mueller Memorial Blood Drive from 10am-7pm on January 23rd in the multi purpose room of the high school.

Every donor will get a T-shirt, discount coupons and a free BBQ dinner.

Matt Mueller was the school's first activities director and originator of this blood drive. He passed away in September, 2000. 

The American Association of Blood Centers recognizes this as one of the largest blood drives in the Central Valley.
