An outbreak of fungal meningitis has been linked to steroid shots for back pain. The medication, made by New England Compounding Center, in Massachusetts, has been recalled.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there have been 328 illnesses -- including five joint infections -- and 24 deaths.

Central California Legal Services (CCLS) will have attorneys available (9:00—12:30 pm) to meet and assist in preparation of simple wills and  advanced health care directives. Appointments are recommended for the meetings with CCLA volunteer attorneys.

The Hydrocephalus Association Fresno which has been in Fresno for many years is having an awareness day on October 14th at Woodward Park.  Here, you’ll find professional representatives who give fantastic information on this condition and also note Children’s Hospital Central California as the closest place for care.  These walks each year bring together hundreds from our large valley community including most of the neurosurgery department at Valley Children’s, and really provides great resources to our families here who have a child with hydrocephalus.
