It's Clovis Fest Weekend!

This is the 40th year of the Table Mountain Casino ClovisFest and Kaiser Permanente Hot Air Balloon Fun Fly. You can expect some new attractions – the Shock Top BrewFest with over 40 craft beers on Bullard, the Luche Xtreme Wrestlers will be on Fourth Street and the Johnsonville BIG Taste Grill will be cooking up hundreds of brats on 7th street.

As always, this is free admission and free parking. And, NO PETS ALLOWED.

When:           September 20, 21

Time:           Balloons launch at 7 A.M. from the Rodeo Grounds each day. No public rides.

ClovisFest runs from 8 A.M. – 5 P.M. each day

This is the 11th year KMPH FOX26 has been a part of this fundraiser for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Clovis Night Out September 27th

Join the Clovis Police Department on Saturday, September 27th, at Sierra Meadows Park at Sierra and Temperance from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. 

Meet the officers; learn about the “Clovis Community Watch” neighborhood program; browse the food and boutique vendor booths; enjoy live music and fireworks; and spend an evening with family and friends.

You’ll also see a variety of law enforcement, fire and sanitation equipment.

Kids can enjoy face painting and the “free” bounce houses.

Milestone Celebration For Coach Giffen of Clovis High

Terry Giffen is currently in his 36th year of coaching. 

Wednesday night, September 17th, Clovis High Water Polo is playing Clovis East @ CHS. That will be Coach Giffen’s 1000th game coached.  Only a handful of water polo coaches nationally reach this milestone.

 Coach Giffen started his career by opening up CW (1 season only). He then moved on to Hoover High School where he coached multiple All-Americans and won several Valley Championships.  He eventually moved on to Clovis High where he continued to produce All-American/Collegiate athletes.  Here’s Coach Giffen at a glance:

 -740 wins

-Coached in 19 CIF Title Games

-Won 9 CIF Titles

-Won 18 League Titles

-Coached for 36 years

-Wednesday night will be his 1000th game coached

 

Coach Giffen is described as a man who  strongly emphasizes giving back to the sport.

The historic Warnors Theatre invites Central Valley residents to join us for our showing of The Seven Year Itch featuring the vivacious Marilyn Monroe.  This classic film will take the Warnors big screen Thursday, September 18th.  It is our pleasure to bring back this 1955 film for audiences to enjoy in our beautiful Theatre.


The doors to the theatre will open at 6:00pm with a pipe organ concert from Dick Cencibaugh, photo opportunities under our marquee, and concessions will be available. We will also draw a lucky person to win a Classic Film Series Pass, so hold on to your ticket stub.
