A big group of Clovis and Fresno athletes from Sunnyside Taekwondo is home from the Junior Olympics in Dallas, Texas. One member of this talented team is a father of two teenage girls competing in the Senior Division!

The martial art of Taekwondo originated in South Korea over 2000 years ago. It is defined as ‘the way of the hand and foot.’ Each athlete tries to earn points by landing kicks to the opponent’s head and body and punches to the body. It is an Olympic sport and will be a part of the Summer 2012 Olympics in London.
