Cowboy U is Saturday | Arts & Culture
Calling all cowgirls, or would-be cowgirls! Don’t miss your chance to join Professional Bull Riders and Clovis Rodeo Royalty for the 6th Annual Cowgirl U Luncheon – Saturday, March 16, at 11:30 a.m. at the Clovis Rodeo Association Hall in Clovis. Attendees, dressed in western finery, will have the opportunity to meet some very special cowboys and special rodeo guests. They will hear live country music, learn all about Clovis Rodeo from Clovis Rodeo Association Board Members and sample what cowgirls drink (including sarsaparilla, beers and wines), what cowgirls eat (award-winning beef, chili, cowgirl cobbler and cowgirl coffee), and bid on some awesome cowgirl auction packages. Live and silent auction items will include both Western and non-Western art, entertainment and travel surprises. The tickets are $100.00 per person or $1,000.00 to sponsor a table of 10. Plus, Best-Selling Novelist Jane Porter will join us and “gift” each attendee with a copy of one of her wonderful books! Cowgirl U 2013 is once again proudly hosted by the Clovis Rodeo Association and proceeds benefit the Central California Blood Center!
The Cowgirl U Luncheon is made possible by The Sence Foundation, Wells Fargo Bank, Harris Ranch Beef Company, Boot Barn, the PBR, KISS Country Radio, Pardini’s Catering, Valley Wide Beverage Company, Purple Cowboy Wine, ValPrint, Fresno Lexus, National Raisin Company, Coca-Cola, and the Fresno-Kings County Cattlewomen’s Association and the PBR (Professional Bull Riders).
The Central California Blood Center is the sole provider of blood and blood products for the 31 hospitals in Fresno, Tulare, Madera, Kings and Mariposa counties and must collect at least 5,000 to 6,000 pints of blood each month to meet the needs of patients in Valley hospitals.
