The Amgen Bike Tour of California arrives to Clovis today. Some are suggesting you just take the day off so you can enjoy all the action! You make that call, but here’s all the info so you can decide.

We’re part of Stage 4 which begins in Sonora, ending this afternooon, May 16th, in Clovis at Pollasky and Bullard. The time is guestimated for mid afternoon.

 It sure was exciting back in 2009, so if we’ve learned anything – get there early to get a spot along the route so you can see well. The festival atmosphere includes food and merchandise booths too.

Join Ryatt and Johnston as they present their photography, sculptures and feature the paintings by Fresno’s newest artist, Bibi Bielat. Have you been to the Appellation California Winery yet?

It’s a stunning and quaint piece of land just north of Fresno off the 99 that is a winery, gallery, tasting room and concert venue - a jewel of our region.  Take a look at the pictures and see for yourself!

They host parties and have free concerts. If you’d like to go to a concert there, but don’t want to drive – you can pick up the ApCal shuttle bus at Sierra Vista Mall in Clovis.

The Golden Eagle Charter Bus picks up and drops off on the south side of the mall near Sears Auto.

It’s $10 for a round trip.

Clovis Wine Walk Tomorrow

 

      Old Town Clovis Wine Walk returns this tomorrow, May 5, 5-8:00 p.m. Sponsor, Bank of the Sierra, will provide a beautiful commemorative wine glass, and together with a list of merchants and wineries, you are on your way to stroll the streets of Old Town Clovis!

More than 20 wineries---from local, Central Coast and northern California---will be in stores providing tastings and information on their wines. There are 11 new wineries this spring and old favorites, including winner of last year’s People’s Choice Award, Simonian Farms with 3 new wines in addition to their winning Pomegranate wine, blackberry, plum and apricot!
