Great Job Clovis East Robotics Team!

Great Job Clovis East Robotics Team!

Here's another 'Feel Good' story out of Clovis East High School.

In their inaugural season, the rookie Robotics team qualified for the national competition in St. Louis, MO this April!

Students built their robot on a shoe string $300 budget. During the regional competition held at UC Davis March 13-15, the team’s robot was able to catch a ball tossed in its direction by judges - a feat few high school robotic teams in the world have mastered.

The school’s “Robo-wolves” Robotics team is the first ever FIRST Robotics team fielded by the high school in southeast Clovis, where close to 50% of students come from homes of poverty.

The competition robot is now on its way to St. Louis. Great job Robo-Wolves!

Coach Tim Simons Back at Clovis North

Coach Tim Simons Back at Clovis North

Clovis North Educational Center and Clovis Unified are proud to announce Coach Tim Simons as the new Director of Football. Coach Simons will be taking over the football program effectively immediately. The founding father of the Bronco football program, Coach Simons returns after 2 years of coaching quarterbacks at Fresno City College.  Coach Simons brings an incredible resume to this position which includes 11 league championships and 5 valley championships.  As well as being named the California Coach of the year for football, Coach Simons was a member of Coach Pat Hill’s staff at Fresno State for 7 years.  We look forward to watching Coach Simons and his staff lead the Broncos into the 2014 season.
